Lotus is used abundantly in my works. Probably this is one element which I have thoroughly used in all the dimensions of work. Be it glass, steel, iron or bronze. Lotus representing the ultimate fertility through its resilience to grow in most adverse situations, the various roots and intertwining of stems representing bondings and relationships, and the ultimate knowledge as is represented by the opening of the lotus at the “sahastra” or the opening of highest chakra. This installation had twelve lotuses in glass of the highest being of 48 inches of 16 petals each of varing sizes |
